When I’m helping someone solve a website issue, or they tell me somethings not working “like it should”, I spend a lot of time gathering basic information that can help me find answers. This can be time consuming for them and me. SupportDetails.com has solved that problem.

I love when I see stuff on the web that does just what I want it to do. Fav4.org does.

Choose the four websites you want it to display (from a list of 20 or so), set it as your internet homepage, and you have a super-simple place to start your web browsing.

I love Weather Underground; I think they get it right a lot of the time -more than most. What I don’t like is how cluttered their site is. They remidied that recently with a weather site devoted entirely to My weather.

Yes.

There’s no simpler answer. Whether you’re using Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome or Opera; newer = safer and better in almost every case. When you computer asks you to upgrade your browser, say “Yes”.

Email is Incredibly Distracting

I get distracted easily when I’m sitting at my computer. Any time a new email pops up I stop what I’m doing to check it out. It’s incredibly bad for my productivity.

I can’t tell you how many articles I’ve read recently that say close your email and just open it occasionally. I didn’t think I could but I started to and the result was immediate: I get more done in less time AND all my email still gets answered.

If you get distracted like me you should give it a shot.

A great way to search for recipes

I don’t cook, but if I did I’d consider using Bing to plan my next meal. When you search for a food item (skirt steak) you get an option to view recipes from delish.com, MyRecipes.com, epicurious.com and others right in the search results.
